With more than 25 years of diverse experience in general management, operations management and market development management, Mr. Boyd has developed a skill set uniquely suited to the turnaround management profession.  He has a proven record of success managing established businesses, start-ups, and turnarounds – successfully completing his first, the restructuring of a $10 million business unit, in 1988.

 

Laxson has served as Chief Restructuring Officer of firms with revenues of up to $200 million; as COO of firms with revenues of over $100 million; as President of several start-ups; as Market Development Manager for a Fortune 50 manufacturing firm; and as a consultant to more than 100 middle market firms.  He has also served as a court appointed receiver, acted as assignee in Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, and provided expert testimony in complex debtor/creditor matters.

 

Mr. Boyd is a hands-on operator with broad manufacturing experience including full profit and loss responsibility for multi-plant operations, new product development and commercialization, supply chain management, quality improvement processes, organizational restructuring, shop floor automation and data collection, and cost analysis/accounting.

Laxson is also a capable financial and business analyst whose skills include P&L management, balance sheet restructuring, cash flow analysis and management, business valuation, financial ratio analysis, break-even analysis, activity based costing, and use of various advanced analytical tools, including multiple-discriminate analysis.

 

In addition to his domestic experience, Laxson has worked extensively in emerging international markets including Mexico, Central and South America, the former Soviet Union, and Eastern Europe.  He has a demonstrated ability to establish and operate businesses under the most challenging conditions, developing innovative solutions to problems others found insurmountable.  His specific international experience includes import/export trading, trade finance, currency conversion routes and hedging, SME development/restructuring, offshore manufacturing, and joint venture development.
